Antique and classic cars will abound at the Heathsville Farmers Market on Saturday, August 16th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local members of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Northern Neck Corvette Club have been invited to cruise in during the market and show off their vehicles. Private individuals are also welcome to participate. Located on the grounds next to Rice’s Hotel / Hughlett’s Tavern in Heathsville, the Farmers Market offers Northern Neck produce and plants, local meat and honey, gourmet peanuts, bread and baked goods, plus a variety of locally-made handcrafts. Shop the Tavern’s gift shoppe and have a light lunch at the Tavern Café. Bingo for Quilts will follow the market at 1:30 pm. Enjoy an old-fashioned game of bingo, where all the prizes are quilted. A non-profit historic landmark, Rice’s Hotel / Hughlett’s Tavern can be found just off Route 360 hidden behind the old Northumberland Courthouse in Heathsville.
